American Oak is a variety of hardwood from the Quercus genus native to the eastern United States. Often referred to as American ‘White’ Oak in reference to the bark of the tree which has a white to ash grey colour.

Regarded for its overall clean appearance, American Oak is characterised by distinctive growth rings and medium grain texture, which will appear more or less prominent depending on the timber stain used.
